Artist SPOTLIGHT: Shlohmo

The emotion delivered by producer Shlohmo's "Places" is enough to bring one to tears within the first minute.  Based in Los Angeles, California, Shlohmo has been providing the music community with an endless stream of incredibly unique electronic music.  Simplicity is bliss in the case of Shlohmo.  His ethereal background sounds offer a cushion for minimal drums and bass to sweep you off your couch and into the clouds.  Often blending soothing acoustic guitar with ambient electronic elements, Shlohmo has distinguished himself as one of the greatest emerging producers.

His remix of Lianne La Havas' "Forget" has unbelievably good vibes as well.

After Dim Mak Records announced Botnek as the winners of the remix contest for Felix Cartal's single "Skeleton," this Canadian DJ/Production duo has enjoyed a much deserved ascent into the limelight.  Heavyweights such as Afrojack, Paul Oakenfold, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Porter Robinson and Zedd all openly support these two incredibly talented producers.  Botnek’s second EP “Sriracha & Beer” was released Nov 20, 2012 on Dim Mak.  Be sure to check out their Soundcloud and pick up their new EP on Beatport.
