SPOTLIGHT

Sorry for the brief lapse of postage, I've been busy with life endeavors. Here's a couple of my favorites of the week to get it started.

A new single from one of the most underrated producers out there.
Mat Zo.
Others include:

Sourz - Round Up (David Tort Remix)

David Tort, a veteran Spanish DJ and resident at Space Miami, has been putting out gems for years, mostly influenced by the evolution of acid house in both the United States and abroad.  His latest remix, released for FREE on his SOUNDCLOUD, is bound to be a dancefloor destroyer, demonstrating a new, more minimalistic style.

PREVIEW: Clockwork - Surge EP

Henry Steinway, known by most as Clockwork (or his Trap alter-ego RL grime), continues to amaze.  He is now set to release his next EP on Dim Mak Records on Feb. 12.  Be sure to pick up these big room destroyers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't forget to pick up his remix of Congorock's new release Bless Di Nation.
Modek - 'Up With Me' EP
Ranging from acid to disco, Modek's new EP 'Up With Me' has the whole package!  Absolutely cannot wait for this release.
"Modek has been busier than ever since the release of his ‘The Family’ EP on Lektroluv - that got played by everyone from Crookers over Tommie Sunshine to Proxy.
Apart from touring like a madman he did remixes for Tai & Netsky, and has soon to be released reworks for Zombie Nation, Porter Robinson and Etienne De Crecy in the pipeline!
This ‘Up With Me’ EP is now his 4th release on Lektroluv and we're very proud to have Modek back on board! The title track gets the remix treatment from Shinichi Osawa, Don Rimini, John Roman and AutoKratz – talking about a HUGE package!! But let’s not forget about that other Modek track ‘Never Forget’ too… Banging!!
Early support by Digitalism, Cassius, Sinden, Major Lazer & Plump Djs."
Artist SPOTLIGHT: Botnek
After Dim Mak Records announced Botnek as the winners of the remix contest for Felix Cartal's single "Skeleton," this Canadian DJ/Production duo has enjoyed a much deserved ascent into the limelight.  Heavyweights such as Afrojack, Paul Oakenfold, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Porter Robinson and Zedd all openly support these two incredibly talented producers.  Botnek’s second EP “Sriracha & Beer” was released Nov 20, 2012 on Dim Mak.  Be sure to check out their Soundcloud and pick up their new EP on Beatport.
Some amazing new remixes for your listening pleasure.
Havoc, Chris Bullen - That's Wassup (Exodus, LJ MTX & Jason Risk Remix)
Phethouse Records, supported by the likes of Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, and The Crystal Method, is set to release three new bangers as the official remixes of the Beatport Top 20 hit, That's Wassup! This wonderfully crafted remix by Exodus, LJ MTX, and Jason Risk is by far the best of the three interpretations and perhaps even better than the original. Unfortunately, this track won't be available for download until June 2, 2013, but any electro house fan should be excited for this one.
Mat Zo ft De Ville - Spirals Of The Vinyl
Mat Zo recently released an incredible, yet unexpected dubstep track from 2010 on his Soundcloud.
In my opinion, Mat Zo is a highly underrated producer and an incredibly talented musician.  Not to mention his live shows are absolutely insane!
